During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that coaching centres are playing with the lives of children. Coaching has become a room of death.
The court asked this question
The Supreme Court sent a notice to the Central Government and the Chief Secretary of Delhi and asked whether safety rules have been implemented in coaching centers? The Supreme Court has asked the Attorney General to assist the court in this matter. The court said, our opinion is that if the coaching center cannot meet the safety norms then it should be done in online mode. But right now we cannot do this.
The Supreme Court has imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on the president, secretary and treasurer of the Coaching Center Federation for challenging the order of the Delhi High Court. After the Mukherjee Nagar coaching incident, the Delhi High Court had ordered the closure of those coaching centers which did not have fire NOC.
