The glory of Baba's Ardhanarishwar form tableau at Kashi Vishwanath Dham
There is a tradition in Kashi of decorating Baba in different forms every Monday of Sawan. Under this, a tableau of Baba in the form of Ardhanarishwar will be decorated in the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath Dham on the third Monday. This special form of Baba will be seen in the golden sanctum sanctorum during the Shringar Darshan at around 9 pm. It is mentioned in Manu Smriti that Devadhidev Mahadev divided himself into two parts and showed the form of Ardhanarishwar in it. This form of Baba expresses the Advaita Bhava. According to the Sawani tradition, Baba had appeared in the sanctum sanctorum in a human form on the first Monday. On the second Monday, a tableau of Baba was decorated in the form of Shiva-Shakti. Now the next time, i.e. on the fourth Monday, Baba's Rudraksha tableau will be decorated. On Sawan Purnima, Baba along with his family will sit on a silver swing.
