Eight pilgrims died and many were injured due to electric shock in Bihar

Bihar News: A music system trolley collided with an electric wire on Hajipur-Jandaha road in Vaishali district of Bihar at around 11:45 pm on Sunday night. Due to which eight Kanwadis died a painful death. Also, many people have suffered severe burns. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and they were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The incident took place near Baba Chauharmal Sthan near Nipar Gate in Industrial Police Station area. District Magistrate Yashpal Meena reached the hospital and inquired about the incident from the injured. Sadar SDPO Omprakash has confirmed the death of eight Kanwadis. All the deceased have been identified. All were residents of nearby Sultanpur village.

Shivam Kumar told that the Kanwadias of Sultanpur village had gone to the ghat to collect water. Everyone had to collect water from Pahelaja Ghat on Monday morning and perform Jalabhishek at Baba Hariharnath temple. During this time, the loud speaker installed in the DJ trolley near Baba Chauharmal place near Naiper Gate collided with the electric wire. Due to which more than a dozen people riding in the trolley got electrocuted. And eight Kanwadias died. During this, there was a stampede there.

Civil surgeon Dr. Shyamnandan Prasad, DPM Kumar Manoj reached the spot and took stock of the incident. Among the injured, Umesh Das's son Rajeev Kumar is being treated at Sadar Hospital. It is said that some of the injured have returned home after first aid. All the bodies have been brought to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
