Mirzapur, 04 August (HS). Polling parties will leave from the respective blocks on August 5 for voting in the three-tier Panchayat by-election. By-elections are being held in Gorakhi of Jamalpur development block, Vyaspur of Majhawan, Jamuhar of Rajgarh and Turkha of Lalganj. Voters will exercise their franchise on August 6 from 7 am to 5 pm.
The ballot boxes will be deposited in the strong room built in the block. A total of 7945 voters will vote including 1367 voters in Gorakhi of development block Jamalpur, 1634 in Vyaspur of Majhawan, the highest number of 3088 in Jamuhar of Rajgarh and 1856 in Turkha of Lalganj along with 53 increased voters. For the post of village head, Manju, Rajiv Kumar, Sandhya and Ramashankar in Gorakhi of development block Jamalpur, Bindo Kumar and Dilip Kumar in Vyaspur of Majhawan, Sadafal Singh and Raj Kumar Singh for Jamuar of Rajgarh and Sajan, Ram Lakhan Bind and Surendra Pandey for the post of Pradhan of Turkha of Lalganj are in the fray.
