Dumka, 4 August (HS). While solving the robbery incident at M/s Shiv Shankar Enterprises Crusher Plant, Dumka Police was successful in arresting five criminals along with country-made pistols and looted mobiles and sending them to jail. Police recovered a country-made pistol, two live cartridges, three bikes used in the incident, four mobiles looted from the labourers and Rs 27,550 cash from them.
The case was disclosed by SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar on Sunday in the SP office located in the Collectorate. He said that the arrested accused include Karam Lal Murmu and Sona Ram Hembram, residents of Pathaljor village of Pirtand police station area of Giridih district, Bhuvaneshwar Hansda, resident of Bengaband village, Mikesh Kumar Soren, resident of Kolochuna village of Dumri police station area and Phoolchand Hansda, resident of Kolbeda village of Mufassil police station area.
On August 2, around 4 pm, 10 to 11 criminals carried out a robbery at M/s Shiv Shankar Enterprises Crusher Plant located in Lakhibad village of Gopikandar police station area of the district. The masked criminals thrashed the workers at the crusher plant at gunpoint and fled after looting Rs 1.24 lakh and the workers' mobiles. A team was formed under the leadership of SDPO Vijay Kumar Mahato and raids were conducted at different places. Five people have been arrested on the basis of interrogation of some people on the basis of suspicion. The police is conducting raids at other places including neighboring districts to arrest the absconding criminals.
The raiding team included Inspector Nandkishore Prasad of Kothikund division, city police station in-charge Amit Lakra, police station in-charge Mufussil Nitish Kumar, police station in-charge Shikaripara Hari Prasad Sah, police station in-charge, Jama Ajit Kumar, police station in-charge Gopikandar Ranjit Mandal, police station in-charge Kothikund Tripurari Kumar, police station in-charge Digghi OP Anuj Kumar, police station in-charge Masanjore OP Rajesh Kumar etc.
