50 houses have been without electricity for six days due to transformer explosion

Auraiya, 04 August (HS). Due to the transformer blast in village Sonasi of Ajitmal tehsil area, there is darkness in the houses of more than 50 consumers. Despite the information, the department has not replaced the transformer. Due to which there is anger among the consumers towards the electricity department.

A dozen villages like Anantram Sonasi, Paigupaur, Dahiyapur, Mudaina, Rupshah, Nagla Simar etc. of Ajitmal area get electricity supply from Maheva electricity sub-station of Etawah district. According to the villagers, transformers blew up due to overload in village Sonasi on Tuesday. Darkness prevailed in the houses of the consumers connected to them. Electrical equipment stopped working and people became miserable in the heat. People informed the electricity department about the transformer blowing up, but the transformers have not been replaced yet. People say that the department cuts the connection if the electricity bill is not paid, but ignores it in the name of providing facilities. The villagers have demanded to replace the transformer. In this regard, Sub-Divisional Officer Bakewar Rahul Yadav said that the transformer is being placed and the supply will be started as soon as possible.
