Lucknow, 01 March (HS). Acting Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, Prashant Kumar has appointed Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order and STF Amitabh Yash as the nodal officer to conduct the Lok Sabha elections 2024 safely. During the Lok Sabha elections, all the officers will give their reports to the nodal officer of UP Police.
Amitabh Yash, who was made the nodal officer of UP Police for the Lok Sabha elections, originally comes from Bhojpur district of Bihar. Amitabh is of IPS-RR 1996 batch. On January 1, 2021, he was promoted to the post of Additional Director General of Police and recently in view of his good work, he was given the responsibility of Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order.
Earlier, Amitabh Yash got the opportunity to lead the special task force to break the mafia system in Uttar Pradesh. Amitabh Yash still has the command of the Special Task Force.
