Lucknow, 04 August (HS). The players of SAI Lucknow won the overall team championship of the first Lucknow District Triathlon and Aquathlon-2024 competition with 68 points. In the competition held at the Indian Sports Authority Regional Center, Sarojininagar Lucknow under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Triathlon Association, the Sports Hostel team was runner-up with 40 points.
In the closing ceremony held on Sunday, the chief guest Professor (Dr.) C.M. Singh, Director, Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, while distributing prizes to the medal winners, wished them all the best for their near future and motivated them to work with determination in the right direction to achieve big goals.
In this, Avidha Pandit of IT College, Prince of SAI Lucknow and Pragya Agrawal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Pratham also secured first position today and won double gold medals. In men's triathlon (above 19 years, 500 m swimming, 5 km cycling, 2.5 km race), Ajendra Chauhan (32 minutes, 23 seconds) of LPS A Block Rajajipuram won gold and Anirudh Pratap Singh (35 minutes, 41 seconds) of DPS Eldeco won silver medal.
In Boys Group – 2 Triathlon (15 to 16 years, 250 m swimming, 2 km cycling, 2 km race), Prince of SAI Lucknow won gold with a timing of 19 minutes 47 seconds. Divyansh Kumar of LPS Sector 9 Vrindavan came second with a timing of 22 minutes 20 seconds and Abhi Srivastava of CMS Chowk came third with a timing of 22 minutes 53 seconds. In Women Triathlon (above 19 years, 500 m swimming, 5 km cycling, 2.5 km race), Avidha Pandit (44 minutes 58 seconds) and in Girls Group 1 Triathlon (17 to 18 years, 350 m swimming, 3 km cycling, 2.5 km race), Pragya Agrawal (35 minutes 15 seconds) won gold.
In Boys Group-1 Triathlon (17 to 18 years, 350 m swimming, 3 km cycling, 2 km running), Shitanshu Gautam of CMS Rajendra Nagar secured first position with a timing of 26 minutes 13 seconds, Divyansh Tiwari of LPS Sector-I secured second position with a timing of 34 minutes 25 seconds, and Daksh Singh of DPS Gomtinagar Extension secured third position with a timing of 43 minutes 46 seconds. In Girls Group-2 Triathlon (15 to 16 years, 250 m swimming, 2 km cycling, 2 km running), Anushruti Singh of DPS Gomtinagar Extension won gold with a timing of 27 minutes 35 seconds, and Nandini R. Yadav of Allen House Vrindavan won silver with a timing of 31 minutes 54 seconds.
In Boys Group-3 Triathlon (13 to 14 years, 250 m swimming, 2 km cycling, 1 km running), Chaitanya Nimbkar of SAI Lucknow won gold. Ansh Khurana of SAI Lucknow got silver and Arghodeep Biswas of KVS CRPF got bronze. In Girls Group-3 Triathlon, Vanya Paliwal of DPS Gomtinagar Extension stood first and Ananya Singh stood second.
In Group 4 of Aquathlon for small children (10 to 11 years, 150 m swimming, 400 m running), Shivendra Yadav of LPS Sector D came first among boys, Virat Raj of St. Thomas College came second and Gaurav Prasad of KVS School came third. In the same group, among girls, Mamta Sonkar of Sports Hostel came first, Anshika Verma of SAI Lucknow came second and Shivi Tiwari of CMS School came third.
In Group 5 of Aquathlon (7 to 9 years, 50 m swimming, 200 m race) among boys, Raj Bharti of Sports Hostel came first, Raghav Yadav second and Sarvang Sonkar of DPS Eldeco came third. In the same group among girls, Pari Tiwari of SAI Lucknow came first, Durga of Sports Hostel came second and Nivedita Singh of SAI Lucknow came third.
