Four lane made on National Highway without removing high tension line tower

Barmer, 1 March (Hindustan Reporter). A high tension line tower in the middle of National Highway 68, which connects two big districts like Barmer and Jaisalmer, was not even removed and the highway was made. Every person passing through here is surprised by this. The highway construction company has built the highway on National Highway 68 in Kapurdi-Jalipa of the district without removing the high tension power line. Due to the presence of high tension electrical tower in the middle of the highway, the pedestrians and vehicles passing through the road are always in fear of an accident.

PWD's XEN Indra Prakash said that an application has been sent to remove the high tension power line. After approval from the concerned department, action will be taken to remove the tower after shutdown. The road has been blocked from both sides, so that vehicles can move from one side. It was blocked earlier also, but someone removed it. Now this has been done again, so that the vehicle passes through the side. After getting approval from power transmission in about 15-20 days, action will be taken to remove the high tension wires.

This highway has recently been shifted from the coal mining area after about 20 kilometers of the highway from Bhadkha to Jalipa came in the middle of the mining area during the land acquisition for the Kapurdi-Jalipa lignite project in the district. 28 kilometer highway has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 160 crore. During this time, the tower of the high tension power line came in the middle of the highway, but the contractor constructed the highway without removing the 132 KV high tension line. After the construction of the road, the movement of vehicles has also started under this tower. In such a situation, there is always a possibility of an accident.
