Doctors asked the commissioner for a month's time from checking the basement

Moradabad, 04 August (HS). Troubled by the checking of basements by Moradabad Development Authority, the officials of Indian Medical Association (IMA) met Divisional Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh along with city MLA Ritesh Gupta and asked for a month's time. IMA President Dr. Ravi Gangal said on Sunday that the Commissioner assured relief in the matter of checking the basements.

After the Delhi incident, the Moradabad Development Authority has started inspecting the basements of coaching institutes as well as private doctors' hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. Some doctors have not got the basement map approved. The MDA has started issuing notices in this matter. Troubled by the investigation, the doctors sought help from city MLA Ritesh Gupta in this matter. The city MLA met the Divisional Commissioner along with IMA President Dr. Ravi Gangal and other officials. The doctors told that the MDA is inspecting the basements and issuing notices. They should be given a month's time in this matter.

IMA Secretary Dr. Shruti Khanna said that whatever deficiencies are there in the basement will be removed. The doctors have also discussed with the Divisional Commissioner about house tax under GIS survey.
