Kullu, 4 August (HS). The rains have been wreaking havoc in the tribal district of Lahaul Spiti this year. Last night, 17 passengers travelling in a bus got stuck on the road due to stones and debris falling on the road.
The incident took place last night when a huge amount of rocks and debris fell from the hill on the road going to Pin Valley and Losar. During this, the HRTC bus got stuck between Sumling and Pangmo village. 17 passengers were travelling in the bus and all of them are safe.
At the same time, there was a sudden flood in Changut of Mayad Valley of Udaipur last night due to which the road from Changut to Tingret has been blocked.
In this regard, Superintendent of Police Mayank Chaudhary said that there is no news of any loss of life or property in the flood. People are appealed not to go towards the affected areas and stay in safe places. He said that as soon as the stones and debris from the hill stop falling, the road will be opened. All the passengers traveling in the bus are safe.
