Punjab Weather Update: It was very hot in Punjab on Saturday. But in the evening, most areas of Punjab remained cloudy. There was light rain in Amritsar, Pathankot and Ferozepur. After which the maximum temperature in Punjab saw a drop of 0.6 degrees and the temperature remained normal.
A yellow alert has been issued in Punjab today, there is a possibility of rain in some areas today. According to the Meteorological Center (IMD), a yellow alert has been issued in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar of Punjab. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda and Mansa.
The monsoon became inactive again from August 1 and is likely to become active on August 6. There is a possibility of good rain once again on Tuesday. Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued once again in Punjab on August 7. According to the data received from IMD, there is a possibility of good rain in Punjab in the month of August. Punjab has received 30 percent more rain in the last 3 days.
That is, 27.2 mm of rain has fallen here, whereas normally 20.9 mm of rain falls in these three days. Along with this, if we talk about the entire season, there has been 38 percent less rainfall so far. Punjab usually receives 236.8 mm of rain from June 1 to August 3, whereas only 146.3 mm of rain has fallen during these days.
