Gorakhpur, 3 August (HS). A seminar was organized on Saturday in the Department of Defense and Strategic Studies of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. In the seminar, on the topic of India's Maritime Security Strategy: Challenges and Options, Department Head Prof. Vinod Kumar Singh said that the Indian maritime strategy has become excellent. At present, the Indian maritime strategy is not limited to the Indian Ocean only, it has expanded to the entire Indo-Pacific region. Today the attention of the whole world is on every small and big activity happening in the Indian Ocean region.
Senior Professor Prof. Srinivas Mani Tripathi said that India needs to make multilateral efforts to maintain rule-based free trade and maritime traffic in this region. Assistant Professor Dr. Vijay Kumar, while describing India's maritime strategy, said that the Indian Ocean has turned into the center of power competition of the whole world and in such a situation the whole world is looking at its interest in this region. To control the increasing Chinese interference in this region, there is a need to create a platform through multilateral cooperation where only the problems related to this region are discussed.
