Bhagalpur, 03 August (HS). A case of suspicious death of a wife has come to light after a quarrel between husband and wife in Sohayal village under Sanokhar police station area of the district.
Last night at around 8:30 pm, Laxmi Devi (27) consumed poison and died during treatment. Family members say that Laxmi Devi wanted to go to her elder father because her elder father had met with an accident. For some reason, her husband Munilal Sharma refused to let her go. This led to an argument between the two. She consumed poison as soon as her husband went out. When this was discovered, the family members immediately took her to the hospital for treatment. But the doctors declared her dead. The deceased's mother-in-law, Sato Devi, said that there was a fight between the son and the daughter-in-law. But she thought it was a normal domestic dispute.
They never thought that Lakshmi Devi would take such a big step. As soon as the incident was reported, the police of Sanokhar police station reached the spot with force and started investigating. Now the administration is trying to find out whether this is a case of suicide or murder.
