Kishanganj, 03 August (HS). Under the ambitious UDID project of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, cards of Divyangjans are being made in the state. In the light of the guidelines of District Magistrate Tushar Singla, senior officials of all blocks are organizing various events to make UDID cards and ensuring that maximum number of cardholder Divyangjans are linked online with Aadhaar in their respective blocks. In which a special camp was organized in Sadar Hospital on Saturday for making disability certificates. This camp was organized with the aim of providing certificates to Divyang persons and providing them the benefits of government schemes and facilities.
There was wide participation of Dr. Rahul Kumar, Dr. Swati Kumari and Avinash Rai, coordinators and staff in the camp. Dr. Rahul Kumar, specialist doctor of Disability Medical Board, said that 63 disabled persons were examined in the disability check-up camp at Sadar Hospital. Out of which certificates were also provided to 42. In which physical examination of 37 disabled persons and eye examination of 6 disabled persons are in the process of issuing disability certificates. Along with this, 09 such disabled persons who were ear and mouth impaired were referred to Dr. Sachin Prasad, ENT, Mata Gujri Medical College for assessment. This event was organized under the supervision of the civil surgeon.
By obtaining a disability certificate, disabled persons will be able to take advantage of various government schemes and facilities, which will improve their lifestyle. The camp also worked to increase sensitivity and awareness towards disabled persons in the society. Such camps will be organized regularly in the future so that more and more disabled persons can benefit from it. This effort of Sadar Hospital is an important step towards bringing positive change in the society. The people present in the camp were given information about various government schemes, benefits and their application process.
