Medical Admission Gujarat: After the controversy over the UG-NEET exam for admission to medical, dental, Ayurveda and homeopathy after 12th class science, the admission committee of the Gujarat government has announced the medical admission process. The online centralized process for admission to four NEET based courses including medical, dental, Ayurveda and homeopathy will start from today, August 3. In which PIN distribution and online registration will start. Currently there are 6858 MBBS seats in 39 colleges. But the seats may increase with the possibility of approval of three new private medical colleges.
This year, more than 88 thousand students from all over Gujarat had registered for UG-NEET. Out of which more than 86400 students appeared for the exam. According to the revised new results released by NTA, 57233 students from Gujarat have passed. Last year, out of 73180 students, 49915 students had passed. Thus, this year there are about 7 thousand more students and in the top 100 ranks this year, 8 students are from Gujarat.
Students with higher merit- Top ranks have led to an increase in the admission of Gujarat students in AIIMS. On the other hand, the merit-cut-off score for admission to government medical-dental colleges in the state and overall medical admissions will also become much higher.
