Negligence will not be tolerated in departments dealing with the common man- Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma

Jaipur, 02 August (HS). Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has said that the administration is the last stop for solving every problem of the common man. In such a situation, he looks towards the state government with hopeful eyes. He said that negligence at any level will not be tolerated in the departments dealing with the common man. He instructed the officials to not only hold public hearings regularly but also ensure the solution of their every problem and inform them.

Chief Minister Sharma was addressing a review meeting held at the Chief Minister's residence on Friday to expedite various projects of Sanganer Assembly constituency. He said that plans should be prepared keeping in mind future development and requirements. He directed the officials of the Energy Department to complete the necessary action in a timely manner for construction of 132 KV GSS in Sanganer-Pratap Nagar, undergrounding of power lines and setting up of 33 KV substations in Krishna City, Balaji Vihar, Neemdi Wale Balaji Patrakar Colony Road and Chakrol Ramnagariya Extension. The Chief Minister also directed for regular monitoring of the remaining work of Bhankrota flyover and Kamla Nehru flyover to complete it soon. During the review meeting, the progress of 65 works worth more than Rs 1913 crore related to Energy Department, PWD, Medical and Health, Revenue, PHED, Self Government, Water Resources and Urban Development Department was reviewed.

He said that JDA and Municipal Corporation should coordinate with each other and complete various works including cleanliness, sewerage, roads so that the general public does not have to face problems. He also gave instructions for proper development of Sanganer Stadium and proper maintenance of the parks in the area. He said that keeping in mind the vision of 'Heritage as well as development', the gates of archaeological importance in Sanganer area should be repaired and beautified.

There should not be unnecessary delay due to pending case in court

The Chief Minister directed the officials to simplify the procedures to reduce unnecessary delays in the projects. Also, the progress should be reviewed at regular intervals. He said that to ensure that there is no unnecessary delay in completing the projects due to pending cases in the court, a meeting should be held with the concerned AG-AAG every 15 days to review the progress of such cases.

Instructions to end the pendency of applications for tap connection

Expressing displeasure over the large number of pending applications for tap connections in Sanganer Assembly constituency, Sharma directed to remove the Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer of the area due to negligence in work. He directed the officials of the Public Health Engineering Department to organize camps and dispose of the pending cases quickly. He also directed to simplify the process of applying for tap connections.

Bring speed in the beautification of Dravyavati river

The Chief Minister said that the Dravyavati river passes through a large part of Jaipur. He said that a new plan has been announced in the budget to develop the Dravyavati river. He said that the officers of the concerned departments should coordinate with each other and ensure its beautification and repair on time. Sharma also directed the officers of the Revenue, Self Government, Water Resources and Urban Development Department to complete the projects going on in the Sanganer Assembly constituency on time.

People's representatives from the Sanganer Assembly constituency also attended the meeting and gave their feedback on the development works going on in the area. During the meeting, suggestions were received for the construction of a culvert on the drain located at Kamala Nehru Nagar for the convenience of traffic, widening the 2 km link road up to Diggi Road by 200 feet, proper arrangement of drainage and sewerage in Prithviraj Nagar (North), construction of a mini secretariat in Sanganer, increasing the height of the culvert of Maharani Farm-Aggarwal Farm, and removing meat shops from the way to Jain Atishya Kshetra in Sanganer.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Shubhra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Alok, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister's Office Shikhar Aggarwal, Principal Secretary Public Works Department Praveen Gupta, Principal Secretary Chief Minister's Office Alok Gupta along with senior officers of various departments and public representatives of Sanganer Assembly constituency were present.
