Indore: Minister Silavat inspected Bhanvarsala pond, planted saplings on Revati hill

Indore, August 2 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had announced the deepening and beautification work of the Bhanvarsala pond under Sanwer assembly constituency under Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan to make it useful and increase its water capacity. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the development work of Bhanvarsala pond is going to be done at a cost of about one and a half crore rupees under water conservation and conservation of water sources.

Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat inspected the Bhanvarsala pond on Friday along with the Municipal Corporation officials. During this, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shivam Verma, Additional Commissioner Divyank Singh, District Panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain, Abhay Rajangaonkar, Shyamendra Jaiswal, Executive Engineer Sanjeev Srivastava, Superintendent Engineer D.R. Lodhi, R.S. Devda and other departmental officials were present. On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Silawat and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Verma also planted saplings on the banks of the Bhanvarsala pond.

Minister Silawat, while observing the condition of the pond and its surroundings, gave instructions for cleaning the water inflow and water supply channel of the pond as well as storing maximum rainwater in the pond. During the inspection, instructions were given to remove encroachment from around the water supply channel and the pond, to renovate the pond and complete the overall development works soon. Instructions were also given to do inside pleaching, construct a footway, build a path around the pond, make the pond area eco-friendly, install railings on the banks of the pond for its safety and make adequate lighting arrangements.

Along with this, Minister Silavat and Commissioner Shivam Verma also gave instructions to construct a ghat near the temple built on the banks of Bhanvarsala lake, to plant trees on a large scale on the banks and embankments of the lake, as well as to make adequate parking arrangements for vehicles coming to the lake. Along with this, the plants planted on Revati hill were also inspected and necessary instructions were also given to install boundary wall and fencing for their safety and maintenance so that the plants can be saved from damage by cattle.
