Apple News: The June quarter was very good for iPhone and MacBook maker Apple. It made record earnings in more than two dozen countries including India. Apple has announced the results for its third quarter of fiscal year 2024 ending on June 29 and according to this the company has earned revenue of $ 85.8 billion. Its revenue has increased by 5 percent on a year-on-year basis. During an investor call, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company has set new revenue records in more than two dozen countries including Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, UK, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
Demand for MacBook increased in India
Another important thing from Apple's results is that the demand for MacBooks is growing rapidly. Revenue from Mac devices grew 2 percent year-on-year. Apple CFO Luca Maestri said that the best performance was seen in developing countries. Mac sales reached record levels in Latin America, India and South Asia. It has the support of MacBook Air with M3 chip.
iPhone sales drop
The first thing that comes to mind when Apple is mentioned is the iPhone, but its sales slowed down in the June quarter. Its sales in the June quarter declined by 0.94 percent year-on-year to $39.3 billion. However, it was already being speculated that iPhone sales might decline slightly as the iPhone 16 series is about to be launched. As far as MacBooks are concerned, its sales grew by 2.46 percent to $701 million and iPad sales also grew by 23.63 percent to $716 million. Earlier, both Mac and iPad revenues declined in the March quarter. Service revenue saw a rise and reached a record high of $24.21 billion, up 14.14 percent year-on-year.
