Ghaziabad, 2 August (HS). A huge crowd of Kanwariyas gathered at the historic Peeth Dudheshwar temple to perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva on Shivratri. Amid tight security arrangements, Kanwariyas are standing in long queues for Jalabhishek. Along with this, the slogan of Bol Bam is resonating. After Jalabhishek, the Peethadheeshwar of the temple is taking blessings from Shrimahant Narayan Giri Maharaj. Along with this, eight-hour worship has also started in the temple.
The process of offering water on Chaturdashi i.e. Shravan Shivratri has started in the afternoon. In this historic temple, not only Kanwariyas from Uttar Pradesh but also from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab etc. are offering water. Shrimahant Narayan Giri Maharaj said that the process of offering water is continuing continuously.
He has appealed to the devotees of Shiv to let the Kanwariyas perform Jalabhishek first. Shiv devotees can perform Jalabhishek from 4 am to 3:50 pm on Saturday. This will maintain the system and they will not face any inconvenience.
Mayor Sunita Dayal, District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh, Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik have inspected the temple.
