Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that about 1500 soldiers have been deployed in the rescue operation and a large number of forensic surgeons are also deployed. At present, thousands of people are in relief camps, many of whom are suffering from mental trauma. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in other districts besides Wayanad for the next few days.
