Udaipur, 29 February (HS). In Udaipur, the 21-day Kharag Mahayagya of Baba Bhairavnath is going to be held from March 2 at the Dham located in Balicha. This Mahayagya will continue for 21 days.
Regarding the Mahayagya, Balicha Dham's servant RP Singh Akwa told the media on Thursday that Baba Bhairavnath Mahayagya is not performed very often, because for such a Mahayagya one has to have a strong resolve. It is not possible to complete the Mahayagya without a strong determination. This Yagya has to be completed by standing and observing silence for 21 days. In this, the resolution of the offerings lasts from sunrise to sunset.
He told that this Yagya will start with the sunrise on March 2 with the worship of Agni Dev and the worship of Vedika. Bhajan evening will be organized in the temple premises in the evening on 2nd March itself. Magan Bharti and Sangat will perform in this bhajan evening. In the Mahayagya, every day a couple will offer sacrifices as hosts from 7 to 9 in the morning. A total of 21 couples will offer sacrifices for 21 days. Any devotee will be able to make offerings from 9 am to sunset. These offerings will be completely free.
Explaining the importance of this Yagya, the servant said that the purpose of such Yagya is public welfare. It is believed that Mahayagya provides relief from physical pain, provides relief from mental stress and brings positive energy in life.
Patrons of the event, Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, Takht Singh Shaktawat, Kamalendra Singh Panwar, Shiv Singh Solanki, Amrit Menaria gave information regarding the preparations. He told that Purnahuti will be held on 23rd March in which 21 couples will participate and perform Purnahuti. Mahaprasadi Bhandara will be organized by Bajrang Sena Mewar. There will be a Bhajan evening in which Saint Kanhaiyalal of Marwar, Kishore Paliwal and Dhanraj Joshi Maharaj from Mewar will give bhajan presentations.
