GST collection for July rises 10 per cent to Rs 1.82 lakh crore

New Delhi: GST collection is increasing continuously. July GST collection increased by 10.3 percent to Rs. 1.82 lakh crore, this collection is the third largest collection till date. Thus, in the April to June quarter, a total of Rs. 7.39 lakh crore GST collection has been done. In April 2024, this collection is Rs. 2.10 lakh crore, April 2023. This is the third largest collection after Rs. 1.87 lakh crore.

In July, the total net GST collection after refunds is Rs. 16,283 crores. There has been a growth of 14.4 percent year-on-year. Total GST revenue is Rs. 1.82 lakh crores. Rs. 96,447 crores have been earned under IGST (Integrated GST). This is due to compensation cess of Rs. 12,953 crores which is a huge revenue. Apart from this, Rs. 32,386 crores have been earned under Central GST and Rs. 40,289 crores have been earned under State GST.

Pre-tax income grew 8.9 percent to Rs. 1.34 lakh crore. While revenue under import duty grew 14.2 percent to Rs. 48,039 crore. Deloitte India partner MS Mani said that total GST revenue has increased by 10.3 percent, but interestingly, GST revenue came from imports rather than domestic supplies. Jain said that GST collection may see a jump due to festivals in the coming months.
