Imphal, 02 August (HS). Manipur Police is carrying out intensive raids and search operations in sensitive and inaccessible areas of various districts of the state. In the operation, 134 people have been detained in connection with violation of various sections of the law.
Police today said that movement of 95 vehicles carrying essential commodities was ensured on National Highway no. 37 and 290 vehicles on National Highway no. 2.
Stringent security measures have been put in place at all sensitive locations to ensure free and safe movement of vehicles. Security forces have been deployed on a large scale in sensitive areas.
Police said 102 check posts and checkpoints have been set up in various districts of Manipur, both in the hills and valley.
