Raipur, 2 August (HS). The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Bilaspur division and Surguja division. Clouds are looming in many districts including the capital Raipur. On the other hand, the weather has also changed in Bilaspur. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of the state again today on Friday. The department has also issued an alert regarding this.
Weather expert Sanjay Bairagi said that the monsoon trough is located at mid-sea level over Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak, Hardoi and then southeastwards to the northeast Bay of Bengal. Also, the cyclonic circulation of the upper air is located over West Bengal and adjoining South Bangladesh. Due to its effect, light to moderate rain will occur in various areas of the state on Friday. Along with this, there are chances of heavy rain in Bilaspur division and Surguja division.
Rain activity will reduce a bit from Saturday. Due to intermittent rain and cloud cover, the maximum temperature of Raipur on Thursday was recorded at 27.2 degrees, which was 3.1 degrees below normal. Along with this, there was a drop in the maximum temperature in many areas.
On Thursday, the highest rainfall in the state was 9 cm in Dondi (Balod district). Along with this, 8 cm rain was recorded in Khargaon-Chando, 7 cm in Baikunthpur-Katghora-Rajnandgaon, 5 cm in Bijapur.
The Meteorological Department has recorded the temperature of 32.2 degrees in Balrampur Ramanujganj, 30.8 degrees in Surguja, 30.6 degrees in Jashpur, 29.8 degrees in Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, 27.6 degrees in Korba, 28.4 degrees in Bilaspur, 30 degrees in Janjgir Champa, 27.2 degrees in Raipur, 27.8 degrees in Mahasamund, 26.5 degrees in Rajnandgaon, 27.01 degrees in Balod, 26.3 degrees in Narayanpur, 25.6 degrees in Bastar, 27.9 degrees in Bijapur, 27.6 degrees in Dantewada and 27.1 degrees Celsius in Sukma.
