Ahmedabad Rain Data: Ahmedabad felt warm after the rains stopped for two days after it rained all day last Monday. However, after rain showers in some areas last night, the city remained cloudy and intermittent spells of rain continued since morning. However, after 4 pm, Meghraja batted violently and Ahmedabad received rain accompanied by universal thunder.
According to the data released by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the maximum rainfall of 1.10 inches was recorded in Bodakdev area of the city during the 2 hours between 4 pm and 6 pm. Apart from this, in other areas, Usmanpura received 25 mm of rain, Jodhpur 21 mm, Bhopal 20 mm, Naroda 18 mm, Ranip 17 mm, Paldi 15 mm, Maninagar 15 mm, Odhav 11 mm of rain and Dudheshwar received 10 mm of rain.
At around 4 pm, the sky of Ahmedabad was engulfed with dark clouds. Due to which the visibility also decreased. In a few minutes, rain started with thunder. Due to continuous rain for 2 hours, the roads in many low-lying areas of the city were flooded. Due to which the drivers had to face a lot of trouble due to traffic jam.
Due to heavy rains, the Mitakhali underpass was closed for traffic at around 5:30 pm for the safety of drivers. It was reopened after half an hour. With this, Ahmedabad has received an average of 15 inches of rain in the season.
In view of the forecast of the India Meteorological Department and the possibility of rain in Ahmedabad city, the employees of various departments of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation have been kept on alert.
