According to the official website of the Kerala government, a yellow alert has been issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod of the state on August 1. Apart from this, there is a yellow alert in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod on August 2. According to the agency, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu of South India may also receive rain on Thursday.

IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department had informed on Wednesday night that heavy rains are expected at some places in western Madhya Pradesh till August 4, Gujarat till August 2, Chhattisgarh and Marathwada till August 3, Vidarbha till August 4, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, eastern Rajasthan till August 4, Uttar Pradesh on August 2 and 3, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh on August 2, northwest Rajasthan, Delhi till August 1.
