Jind, 1 August (HS). On Thursday, on the call of Anganwadi Workers and Helper Union, workers and helpers of the districts protested at the Mini Secretariat under the chairmanship of District President Rajbala and raised slogans against the government. Later, the workers submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner regarding their demands. Addressing the protest, State Treasurer Rajbala said that in the 2018 movement, the Chief Minister had agreed to many of their demands. In which many important demands like giving the status of a worker, giving dearness allowance every six months, e-MS fund, insurance were accepted, but till date the government has not fulfilled the demands agreed in the agreement.
The workers and helpers working in the project are facing difficulty in running the Anganwadi Centre. They are even paying the rent of the centres, fuel for cooking ration and phone recharge from their own pockets. In this way, the entire burden of running the project has been put on the shoulders of the Anganwadi workers. Which is unbearable. If even then the government and departmental officers do not agree, then a decision will be taken about the upcoming movement. The protest was organized by District Secretary Dayavanti. On this occasion, Anguri, Sushila, Urmila, Anita, Khajani, Nirmala, Bimla, Sudesh, Suman, Sheela, Sunil, Sudesh, Lakshmi, Sunita, Kamala, Sangeeta, Krishna, Bhula etc. expressed their views.
