Lohaghat, 01 August (HS). Mukesh Kumar, Chairman of Uttarakhand Scheduled Caste-Tribe Commission, planted saplings under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign in the Ambedkar hostel premises on Thursday. During this, the girl students submitted a memorandum to the Commission Chairman regarding the appointment of environmental friend in the hostel and the drinking water problem.
Mukesh Kumar planted fruit and shade trees in GIC Chaumel, Saraswati Shishu Mandir Pulla, Health and Wellness Center Kimatoli, Panchayat Ghar Patan Patni, Gallagaon and Barakot. After this, the Chairman of the Commission held a meeting with the workers at Lohaghat Dak Bungalow and appealed to extend the benefits of the public welfare schemes of the Central and State Government to the people. He asked the Scheduled Caste people to take advantage of the government schemes. The Chairman of the Commission will visit various rural areas of Pati development block on Friday.
