Bhopal, 1 August (HS). Monsoon rained heavily in Madhya Pradesh in the month of July. 51 percent of this season's rainfall i.e. 18.9 inches has already occurred. More than the quota of rain fell in July. Now similar rain is expected in August as well. On the very first day of August, a strong system will become active in the state and will remain there for the next 4 days. Today (Thursday), there is an orange alert for heavy rain in 19 districts of Bhopal, Sagar, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions. However, the system's activity was seen from Wednesday itself. Rain occurred in 13 districts including Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Raisen, Seoni.
The Meteorological Department said that right now the monsoon trough is a little above the state. The cyclonic circulation is towards the Arabian Sea. There is also another cyclonic circulation. Now their strong activity can be seen. Therefore, for the next 4 days, heavy rains are expected in some parts of the state and light rains in some parts. The highest rainfall in the state was 31.74 inches in Seoni. In Rewa, the figure has not even reached 8 inches. The system that is getting active now, its effect will be seen more in the eastern part – Jabalpur, Sagar, Shahdol and Rewa divisions. Therefore, the figure will increase.
Along with this, meteorologist Shivank Bakode said that very heavy rain with lightning is likely to continue in Sheopur Kalan, Shivpuri-Kuno, along with this, heavy rain with lightning is likely to continue in Balaghat, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Betul, Chhindwara, Morena, Vidisha including Udaygiri, Sanchi. Moderate rain may also continue at some places here.
He told that there will be rain with thunder and lightning in Neemuch, Gwalior, Bhind, Rajgarh, North Bhopal, Agar Malwa, Shajapur, Raisen, Bhimbetka, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Pachmarhi, Harda, Ratlam, Dholavad, Ujjain, Mahakaleshwar. At the same time, there will be light rain with thunder and lightning in the southern region of MP. In which there is a possibility of rain today in Bhopal / Bairagarh, Arera Hills, Narela, Datia, Ratangarh, Niwari, Orchha, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Katni, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Bhedaghat, Anuppur, Amarkantak, Dindori, Mandla, Kanha, Seoni, Pandhurna, Pench. Also, there is information of rain in Indore, Dhar/Mandu, Dewas, Jhabua, Mandsaur/Gandhisagar Dam, Khandwa, Omkareshwar, Khargone, Maheshwar at midnight today.
