Uttarakhand Chief Minister appeals to people not to travel for the time being

Dehradun, 01 August (HS). Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that relief and rescue operations are being conducted in Rambada, Bhimbali, Jakhaniyali and other affected areas. The Chief Minister has appealed to people to travel in view of the weather.

Dhami said that due to heavy rains in the night, life has been affected at many places across the state. Rescue teams have carried out operations throughout the night and have taken people to safe places. I am in constant touch with the local administration and have instructed the NDRF and SDRF teams to remain on alert mode in the affected areas. I am also taking information about the situation from local public representatives. I have instructed the local administration to assess the damage and ensure immediate action.
