Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday announced the names of four soldiers who will be the first soldiers to fly in space by participating in the Gaganyaan mission. Prime Minister Modi honored four astronauts undergoing training by setting up a base at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center in Thumba near Thiruvananthapuram. Preparations are underway to send two of these four into space. One of these four will also take part in the American space mission.
Gaganyaan will be India's first parallel space mission. Under that mission, astronauts will be sent to an orbit at a distance of 400 km from the Earth. They will remain in space for three days after which they will be released into the Indian Ocean. ISRO has already tested the mission. Gaganyaan mission can be launched by the year 2025. ISRO will send another robot for testing this year. In the tests conducted last year, it became clear that even if there is a malfunction in the rocket, the astronauts can be evacuated safely.
Announcing the names of four officers selected for the training of Gaganyaan mission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that these four are not human beings but have the power to take the aspirations of 140 crore Indians to space. After 40 years an Indian will go to space. The special thing is that this time both the rocket and the countdown will be ours. If Gaganyaan is successful, India will become the fourth country to send a human into space. Before this, only America, Russia and China could achieve this success.
how much will it cost?
According to the report, this campaign will cost around Rs 90 billion. India has already created history by landing a mission on the South Pole on the lunar surface. Rs 615 crore was spent on Chandrayaan 3 mission. After this India launched Aditya-L1 mission to the Sun. This mission was also successful. The mission has reached L-1 point. From that point it is observing the Sun. Now India is preparing for Gaganyaan.
about future plans
Gaganyaan mission will be a big leap in the field of science for ISRO. If the mission is successful, India will open its own space station by 2035. With the help of Gaganyaan, India is planning to send humans to the lunar surface by 2040. NASA is also planning to send astronauts to the Moon with the help of Artemis-2 mission. With the help of Artemis-3 mission, man will step on the moon. The four personnel selected for the Gaganyaan mission are commissioned officers in the Air Force. Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan has already undergone training in Russia. He has experience of flying up to 3000 kilometers.
