Mussoorie/Dehradun, 31 July (HS). A massive landslide occurred on Wednesday evening above Kolu Khet on Mussoorie-Dehradun road and huge boulders and debris fell on the road. Due to this the road was completely closed. Due to the closure of the road, there was a long traffic jam on both sides. Due to this people had to face a lot of problems.
On receiving information about the road being closed due to landslide on Mussoorie-Dehradun road, Public Works Department officials reached the spot with JCB and tried to remove the debris and boulders on the road. At the same time, due to continuous rain, there were a lot of difficulties in opening the road. Assistant Engineer of Public Works Department KK Uniyal said that a massive landslide has occurred near Kolu Khet on Mussoorie-Dehradun road, due to which the road has been completely closed. The debris and stones on the road were removed with the help of JCB after about five hours of hard work. Traffic could be resumed late in the evening.
