Students were motivated to plant more and more trees to conserve nature

Kathua, July 31 (HS). The NSS Unit and Eco Club of Government Degree College Marhain organized a tree plantation drive in collaboration with Social Forestry Department under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” launched by the Honorable Prime Minister of India at New College Campus.

The campaign was conducted under the supervision of the college principal Prof. Anupama Gupta. Speaking on the occasion, the college principal made the students aware about the urgent need for afforestation and motivated the students to plant as many trees as possible for the conservation of nature. The programme was organised under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer and NSS Organising members. A large number of volunteers participated in the programme. Faculty members present in the campaign included Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Anoop Sharma, Dr. Munisha Devi, Dr. Shalu Rani.
