Korba, July 31 (HS). The district administration is constantly taking initiatives to improve the level of education in the district. Along with the appointment of subject specialist teachers in high and higher secondary schools, now teachers will also be appointed in middle schools.
Collector Ajit Vasant has approved 96 teachers for middle schools through the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMF). With this approval, the education department is making necessary preparations to complete the recruitment process quickly. With this initiative of the district administration, the secondary schools of the district which had less than three teachers, will now have at least three teachers. Students will benefit from adequate arrangements of teachers in middle schools. This will also improve the education system of the district.
There are about 518 middle schools operating in Korba district. There had been complaints for a long time that teaching was being affected due to the shortage of teachers in many of these schools. Collector Ajit Vasant had instructed the District Education Officer to prepare a list of schools with less teachers.
After the list was presented by the District Education Officer, the Collector has approved the appointment of 96 teachers from DMF. The recruitment process of these teachers will be done through the School Management Committee. First of all, qualified teachers will be given priority at the Gram Panchayat level. If qualified candidates are not found, priority will be given to candidates at the development block level, then at the district level.
