Delhi Rao Coaching Centre Tragedy : A shocking revelation has been made in the case of the death of three students in the basement of Rao Coaching Centre in Delhi. According to the Chief Secretary's report, this institute had blocked the entire drainage system. Apart from this, the institute did not make any arrangements for safety and rescue.

The coaching center flouted all the rules

According to the report submitted to the Delhi government, the coaching institute has blocked the drain from above. The parking lot of the institute is directly in front of the road, due to which during heavy rains, the water coming from the road fills directly in the parking lot instead of going into the drains. There is also no arrangement of security staff here. If there was staff, caution could have been taken at the time of the incident and the lives of the students could have been saved. The report also blames the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), saying that due to pressure outside the building and illegal access to the road from the parking lot, rainwater could not flow into the drains.

hefty library fees

Students preparing for civil services have claimed that library fees have been doubled in Old Rajendra Nagar and surrounding areas. In the first month, a fee of Rs 2,000 was charged and now a fee of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 is being demanded.

NHRC issues notice to Delhi government's corporation commissioner

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the Delhi government, police and corporation commissioners in the Rao Coaching Center case and ordered them to submit a report within three weeks. Apart from this, details of pending complaints against the institutions and action taken by the concerned departments have also been sought.
