New Delhi, Leh: China has built a 400-meter long bridge over Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh and occupied the area, took high-resolution pictures of it and sent it to ground-control. The bridge is black in color. (Possibly: It is believed that it has a layer of tar on it.

In fact, China has secretly occupied this area since 1958. This area has been very close to the Line of Control between India and China. China started the construction of this bridge in January 2022.

This bridge cuts off the distance of 50 to 100 km from the northern shore of the lake to the southern shore like a long strip and saves many hours. Now even motor vehicles ply on this bridge, as is evident from satellite images.

When journalists asked the Foreign Ministry spokesperson about this, he said that China has built a bridge on Pangong Lake.

Along with this, he also clarified that both the countries have decided to reduce the number of their troops to reduce tension on the LOC. But China has built military quarters and armory in the area between Finger-4 and Finger-8. These areas in the picture (area between Finger-4 and Finger-8) are now kept as land boundary marks by India.

After the conflict with China in eastern Ladakh in 2020, both the countries agreed to reduce troops in that area, but India has also started 18 new projects in the area under its control, in view of the possibility of a threat from China at any time. Construction of infrastructure has started at a cost of 2000 crores. In which the construction of all-weather roads and tunnels has started at a fast pace from 2022.
