Mumbai: Gold and silver prices once again declined in Mumbai Jewellery Market today. Selling by funds was seen increasing in the news of global market. Crude oil prices continued to fall in the world market and fell to a two-month low, its effect was also seen negatively on global gold prices. Gold prices in the world market today were indicated to be in the range of 2376 to 2387 to 2388 dollars per ounce with a low of 2392 to 2393 dollars.
Behind gold, global silver prices also declined by $28.06 to $28.07 an ounce to $27.63 to $27.89 to $27.90 an ounce. Meanwhile, in the Mumbai bullion market today, gold prices stood at Rs 68,405 to Rs 68,525 at Rs 99.50 per 10 gram, while silver was at Rs 68,800 at Rs 99.90.
While the price of silver in Mumbai was Rs 82192 per kg and Rs 81350 without GST. The price of gold and silver in Mumbai was 3 percent higher than this price including GST. Meanwhile, in the jewellery market of Ahmedabad today, the price of gold was Rs 71800 at 99.50 and Rs 72000 at 99.90, while the price of silver in Ahmedabad was Rs 82500.
Meanwhile, platinum prices in the world market today rose from 944 to 945 to 960 to 955 to 956 dollars per ounce. While palladium prices were in the low range of 910 to 911 to 898 to 900 to 901 dollars. Global copper prices fell 1.14 percent today. Copper and crude oil prices remained under pressure due to slow new purchases by China in the global market.
Brent crude oil prices today fell from 80.83 to $79.22 a barrel, while US crude oil prices fell from 76.97 to $75.16 to $75.36 a barrel.
Such prices were previously seen in early June. World market insiders said crude oil prices fell instead of rising amid rising tensions in the Middle East and the absence of China. Meanwhile, the dollar traded at Rs 83.71 to Rs 83.72 against the rupee in the Mumbai currency market today, while the global dollar index stood at 104.57 to 104.55.
In Mumbai market today, the price of British Pound against Rupee fell from 107.47 to 107.48 to 107.54 and finally settled at 107.71 from 107.70.
The price of euro was 90.71. In Europe, the economic growth rate in France was higher than expected, while the GDP growth rate in Germany was reported to be lower than expected. Thus, economic trends were seen in Europe today.
