Two audio clips are currently going viral on social media in Pakistan. This audio clip strengthens the claims of Imran Khan and his party PTI, in which they have alleged rigging in Pakistan's general elections. Two audio clips of prominent leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) went viral on Wednesday. Since the audio went viral, allegations by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party regarding the results of the elections held on February 8 in Pakistan have gained momentum, raising questions about election rigging and mandate theft.
What's in the leaked audio?
The leaked audio is reportedly of Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori. In the leaked audio, the Sindh Governor can be heard saying, 'Our order is 100 percent fake.' In the audio clip, Tesori can be heard talking to someone. He is saying that when he became the governor, there was an alliance between MQM-P and Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). But when Pakistan Democratic Alliance formed the government, MQM changed its stand in April 2022, which did not go down well with its voters. The Governor can also be heard saying that his party did not get votes in the elections held on February 8.
Did these two leaders approve of rigging in Pakistan's elections? made a big announcement
In the audio leak, the governor can also be heard saying that he is giving the MQM a ministry at the Center and the post of governor in Sindh (referring to the Pak Army and the PML-N). In the audio, Tesori is also heard saying that if MQM-P joins Shehbaz Sharif's government, it will be a bad decision for the party.
Another audio also talks about fake commands
In another audio that surfaced after the leak, senior MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal was heard saying that when he met the PML-N delegation, he was told two things. One is that PPP is saying that the MQM-P mandate is 100 percent fake. Second, PML-N and PPP have the required numbers to form the government, so MQM-P should be ousted. Mustafa Kamal confirmed the audio clip. Kamal said there was nothing new in the claims made by his rivals. They call the order fake. MQM-P won 17 National Assembly seats in Karachi. Its PTI claimed that MQM-P candidates were not even in third position on these seats.
PTI accused of manipulation
Imran Khan and his party PTI have alleged fraud in the elections. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, PTI-backed independent candidates won 92 seats. This is more than former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Imran Khan-backed candidates won 113 seats in the provincial assembly.
coalition government in pakistan
With no party getting a clear majority, the PML-N and PPP formed an alliance with four other smaller parties. The alliance also included a large number of independents, who were supported by the PTI. Now they have either joined PML-N or are supporting the alliance. According to the agreement between these parties, Shehbaz Sharif, younger brother of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan. But it is not yet decided when the new government will take oath. Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz has become the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab province. PTI also called him a fake Chief Minister.
