Jaipur, 30 July (HS). A felicitation ceremony for Governor Kalraj Mishra was organized in the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan. On this occasion, Governor Kalraj Mishra said that he will never forget the love and affection he received from the people during his stay in Rajasthan. The trust and affection he received from the people during his tenure of five years enabled him to do many new things in the Raj Bhavan.

Governor Mishra, on completion of his five years, became emotional in the program organized in his honor in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan and said that he got the opportunity to work in all the major constitutional institutions of India, the world's largest democracy. But I consider the work done for constitutional culture in public life as a governor important. The Constitution of India is the supreme law of the entire country. Therefore, I decided that while being the head of the Constitution, I will work for constitutional awareness. He said that collective feeling is important here. The Constitution itself begins with, “We the people of India”. He said that the original Constitution is full of Indian civilization and culture. I tried to bring this Constitution down to earth. An initiative was taken to build the country's first Constitution Park in Raj Bhavan. He took the initiative of reading the Preamble and Fundamental Duties of the Constitution before all his public programs. He initiated the reading of the Preamble and Fundamental Duties of the Constitution before the address in the Assembly. He got Constitution Parks built in universities.

Recalling the five years of his tenure, he said that an initiative was taken to implement 'choice based system' in the universities of the state and to give 'Chancellor Award' to the best university. Regular evaluation of universities was also ensured at the Raj Bhavan level on the basis of monthly reports. A historic initiative was taken to provide degrees to students on time by organizing convocations every year. An initiative was taken to adopt villages and develop them. Development was accelerated in tribal areas.

Mishra said that the Governor's Relief Fund was completely digitized and the facility of depositing donations online in its bank account was made available by developing software. Along with changing the name of all the 'War Widow Hostels and Rehabilitation Centres' operating in the state under the Sainik Welfare Department to 'Veerangana Hostels and Rehabilitation Centres', an important decision was also taken on the initiative of the Raj Bhavan to issue a 'Veer Mata Identity Card' to the mother of the martyr and a 'Veer Pita Identity Card' to the father of the martyr on the lines of the 'Veerangana Identity Card'. Governor's Secretary Gaurav Goyal said that under the guidance of Governor Shri Mishra, important works were done in Rajasthan by adopting continuous innovation. He said that Mishra's tenure will always be remembered. Principal Special Officer Govind Ram Jaiswal said that working with him inspired us to constantly learn and do something new. Secretary Gaurav Goyal presented him a memento on behalf of the Raj Bhavan.
