BJP President: Who will take over the command of the Bharatiya Janata Party after Jagat Prakash Nadda? There is a debate going on about this. Meanwhile, speculations are being made that a leader from Maharashtra can sit on the top post of the party. However, nothing has been said officially about this. In fact, this discussion has gained momentum after the meeting of Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Prime Minister Modi on Saturday.

It is being said that BJP may get a new president by the end of August. According to a report, the party is considering several names for the post of president, out of which two leaders may be from Maharashtra. Apart from Fadnavis, the name of party general secretary Vinod Tawde may also be included in this. Nothing has been said officially by the BJP in this regard.

Fadnavis met Modi

According to the report, sources said that Fadnavis' meeting with Modi along with his wife and daughter has fueled the discussion that the top leadership of BJP wants to retain Fadnavis in this post. Earlier, there were differences between the Sangh and BJP regarding the names, due to which appointments were not being made on top posts. However, now it seems that there is a consensus on the name of Fadnavis. In such a situation, the meeting of Fadnavis and Modi is important.

Minister or president?

It is also being said that there is a difference of opinion in the party about Fadnavis whether he should be made the president or a minister in the cabinet. The report also said quoting sources that the RSS is in favour of making Fadnavis the national president so that Fadnavis can play a big role in central politics and be prepared because the BJP government at the centre will act as a throne for him.

In the last assembly elections in Maharashtra, the undivided Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party formed the government together. Then there was a split in the Shiv Sena and a large number of MLAs joined Eknath Shinde. The BJP and Shinde faction formed the government in the state and Eknath Shinde was made the Chief Minister. Then Fadnavis was made the Deputy CM.
