August 2024 Bank Holiday List in Gujarati: RBI has released the list of bank holidays for the month of August. Check the bank holiday list before going to the branch for work to be done in August. According to this list, banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in the coming month i.e. August.

Out of the total 13 bank holidays in August, 4 are Sundays. Many of these holidays also fall consecutively. Banks across the country will not remain closed for 13 days. According to the list of bank holidays given on the official website of RBI, these holidays are in different states. Not all these holidays will be applicable in all states. As per RBI guidelines, banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month except Sundays.

August 13: Patriot's Day, banks closed in Manipur.
15 August: Independence Day/Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi), all banks closed in India.
18th August: Sunday holiday.
August 19: Raksha Bandhan/ Julana Purnima/ Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur Birthday – Banks are closed in Tripura, Gujarat, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh.
20 August: Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti.
August 24: Fourth Saturday of the month.
25th August: Sunday holiday.
26 August: Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8)/Krishna Jayanti. Closed in Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh states, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar.
