Raipur, July 29 (HS). I am surprised that the previous Congress government led by Bhupesh Baghel in Chhattisgarh did not allow a single house to be built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which was to be built for the poor. The Center sent the money but they did not release the state's share for the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. So that money was not used and it was sent back. They have committed the sin of depriving thousands of poor people of a house. This was shared by Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on social media today.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that today we sat together and discussed. The Chief Minister and Deputy CM of Chhattisgarh have taken this issue forward. The aim of the Modi government is to provide houses. The Center will fully support them.

On social media X, Chief Minister Sai has informed that in the last five years, 18 lakh people of Chhattisgarh were deprived of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) because the then Congress government did not give the state share. Although the central government gave its full central share, but due to non-payment of the state share, that money was returned. In this regard, today there was a meaningful discussion on each point with Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, he listened to us carefully and assured us completely to provide permanent houses to the poor. The minister also listened sympathetically to our demand for PM housing for the families of the martyrs in the Naxalite attack and those who surrendered and assured us to fulfill it.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has returned to Raipur today after attending the meeting of NITI Aayog. While talking to journalists at Swami Vivekanand Airport in Raipur, he said that there was a meeting of NITI Aayog on 27th July, in which Chief Ministers of all the states participated. Meaningful discussions were held in the meeting. We have to make a developed India and a developed Chhattisgarh. We are preparing documents for this. We will dedicate it to the public on the day of Chhattisgarh Foundation Day.

During his stay in Delhi, Chief Minister Sai also met Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. On this, CM Sai said that various topics were discussed with the Union Minister. Discussion was held regarding rehabilitation of Naxalites and PM Housing. On attending the Chief Minister's Conclave, Sai said that the CM Conclave meeting was held for two days, in which Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of the states participated. Different topics were discussed in the meeting.
