Merger of District Rural Development Agency with District Council Khunti

Khunti, 29 July (HS). The District Rural Development Agency has been merged with the District Council, Khunti. A proposal to this effect was passed unanimously in a meeting held in the Council Auditorium of the District Council on Monday under the chairmanship of the Council Chairman.

In the meeting, the council members were informed about the closure of the centrally sponsored DRDA Administration Scheme and the merger of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) with the District Council (Panchayati Raj Department) in the light of Section 77 (b) of the Panchayati Raj Act, 2001. Deputy Development Commissioner, Director DRDA, all members of Khunti District Council and all officers and members of the governing body were present in the meeting.
