Hisar, 29 July (HS). Kurukshetra MP and country's leading industrialist Naveen Jindal has been honoured with Mahatma Hansraj Gaurav Samman in the 77th Foundation Day celebrations of Hansraj College of Delhi University. On this occasion, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised Naveen Jindal's tireless efforts to fight a long legal battle for the national flag Tricolour and to spread it among the people.
Kurukshetra MP and Hisar resident Naveen Jindal, who has taken politics, industry, education and sports like polo and shooting to new heights, was invited as a special guest by Hansraj College on its 77th foundation day two days ago. Jindal has obtained a degree in commerce from this college. In view of the achievements of this promising student, Hansraj College honoured Naveen Jindal with Mahatma Hansraj Gaurav Samman. This honour was given to him by Delhi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh and Hansraj College Principal Prof. Rama.
The chief guest of this program, Vice President and Chancellor of Delhi University Jagdeep Dhankhar praised Naveen Jindal's efforts to spread the tricolor among the people. He said that Naveen Jindal was so dedicated to his cause that he went to the Supreme Court to get the citizens the right to hoist the tricolor 365 days a year. Vice President Dhankhar said that he is a student of Sainik School-Chittorgarh, where the alumni association has requested him to install a huge national flag in his school as well.
He assured the alumni association that when he visits Naveen Jindal's college, from where he completed his graduation, he will request him to hoist a huge flag at Sainik School-Chittorgarh as well. Program coordinator Dr. Prabhanshu Ojha said that Naveen Jindal is very passionate about Hansraj College and is always ready to support the college.
Naveen Jindal expressed his gratitude to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar through social media platform X and said that it is a matter of pride for him that the Vice President has appreciated his efforts and struggles for the tricolor. The tricolor not only unites us but also inspires us to contribute to nation building.
