East Champaran, 29 July (HS). Retired Professor Dhruv Narayan Dwivedi of the renowned college of the district, Laxmi Narayan Dubey College, died on Monday morning. He was ill for a long time. Prof. Dwivedi breathed his last at his private residence in Gopalpur, Motihari city. He was the father of Delhi's renowned journalist Ajit Dwivedi. Many people from the political, teachers, lawyers and journalism community have expressed deep condolences on his death. On his death, condolence meetings were organized in many colleges of the district and emotional tributes were paid to him.
Prof. Dwivedi was originally a resident of Dubey Tola village of Sangrampur in the district. He was known as an educationist with high spirits and high personality. Prof. Dwivedi has left behind a full family consisting of sons, daughters, grandchildren. His last rites will be performed after his son and other relatives reach Motihari.
