Ranchi, July 29 (HS). A hearing was held in the Jharkhand High Court on the matter related to the cancellation of life membership of former Rajya Sabha member Ajay Maru of Jharkhand State Cricket Association. In this case, the court has issued a notice to the Jharkhand State Cricket Association and sought a reply within four weeks.
Ajay Maru had objected to not issuing a notice to call all the members in the general body meeting of Jharkhand Cricket Association during the tenure of former Jharkhand Cricket Association President Amitabh Choudhary. After this, in the year 2020, Jharkhand State Cricket Association took action against him without notice and ordered him not to participate in any proceedings of the association and not to use the facilities of JSCA's club and stadium.
The petitioner has said in the petition that he had raised his voice against the process of the Annual General Body Meeting of Jharkhand Cricket Association. After this, the association took action against him and banned his participation in any activity of Jharkhand Cricket Association. It was also verbally said that his lifetime membership would be terminated. However, the Cricket Association has not issued any written order in this regard. The petitioner has requested to allow him to participate in the proceedings of the association. Along with this, he has requested to get the facilities of Jharkhand Cricket Association's stadium and club again.
