Araria 29 July (HS). A 52-year-old father riding a bike died on the spot after being hit by a speeding bus near the FCI chowk under Forbisganj police station area on Monday, while the son was badly injured and was immediately brought to the Forbisganj subdivisional hospital for treatment. After primary treatment, seeing his critical condition, the seriously injured son Mohammad Shahbaz was referred to a higher center for better treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Tafezul, 52-year-old son of late Mohammad Khalil, resident of Chakardaha Beriya Ward No. 8 of Narpatganj police station area. Here, angry people blocked the road by placing the dead body on the road near the incident spot and set fire to tires on the road. Angry people also vandalized the bus.
It is said that the deceased had come to the railway station with his son Shahbaz from Beriya Chakardaha to pick up his daughter Gudiya. His daughter was coming from Jammu Kashmir. After meeting the daughter at the railway station, the father and son were returning to their home Chakardaha on a bike. As soon as the bike left from Kali Mela turn and reached in front of FCI Chowk on Forbesganj Raniganj main road, the bike came under the grip of a passenger bus Maa Vindhyavasini Travels number BR 11 PA 3294 going from Jogbani to Bhagalpur at a high speed from the front and the bike driver Mohammad Tafezul died on the spot. While his son riding on the bike was seriously injured.
On receiving the information, a large number of police personnel including SHO Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Inspector Sanjeev Kumar, In-charge CO Ravi Raj Kumar, BDO Sanjay Kumar reached the spot and after a lot of efforts, the angry people were pacified. After this, the bus and the bike number BR 38 Y 1581 damaged in the accident were brought to the police station by the police.
SHO Raghvendra Kumar Singh said that the damaged bus and motorcycle have been seized. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Police is investigating the matter. Further action will be taken on the application of the deceased.
