There are more than 3.6 billion Android users worldwide. This operating system is available in smartphones ranging from low-budget to premium segment. This is why Android users are a target for scammers who steal users' data and information with the help of malware etc.
One big problem with Android is that you can load side apps in it, that is, you can download apps from third party stores or even install APK files, but this facility is not available with iPhone.
Google, the parent company of the Android operating system, is aware of this problem and hence has given Android users the facility to scan their phones. Users can find out about malware or viruses by scanning their phones in this way. You can scan malware even without installing any antivirus app on the phone. Let's know how to do this…
Find out if your phone has a virus or not.
Unlock your phone.
Go to Google Play Store.
Click on the profile photo visible in the right corner.
Now click on Play Protect.
After this click on “Scan” option.
After this, in just two minutes Google Play Store will scan all the apps installed in your phone and give information about suspicious apps.
