Bhopal, 29 July (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will today (Monday) honour 10 forest workers including the SDO of the Forest Department posted in Raisen district on the occasion of International Tiger Day. These forest workers had rescued a tiger recently.
Public Relations Officer KK Joshi said that a state level program on International Tiger Day is being organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center, Minto Hall, Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will attend the program as the chief guest. Forest and Environment Minister Ramniwas Rawat will preside over the program and Minister of State for Forest and Environment Dilip Ahirwar will be the special guest.
Additional Chief Secretary Forest Ashok Barnwal, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Aseem Shrivastava, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Wildlife and Forest Department officers-employees and tiger lovers will be present in the program.
In fact, the villagers of Raisen city and its surrounding areas, who were living in terror of the tiger for six months, got relief after the successful rescue of the tiger. The tiger was rescued in collaboration with the teams of Kanha Reserve Tiger and Satpura Reserve Tiger and a team of 6 elephants. The employees and officers of Raisen General Forest Division are being honored by the Chief Minister for this achievement.
The forest workers who will be honored include Raisen sub-divisional forest officer Sudhir Patel, forest ranger Pravesh Patidar, acting deputy forest ranger Prabhat Yadav, acting forest ranger Pritam Singh Jatav, forest guard Bhajan Sharma, acting deputy forest ranger Lal Singh Purvi, acting deputy forest ranger Sarjan Singh Meena, forest guard Parasram Malviya, acting forest ranger Nitesh Yadav, forest guard Shoaib Khan.
